JobRad

Hörmann employees have the opportunity to lease bicycles or pedelecs and use them flexibly in everyday life, on the way to work or in their free time. Employees can also use a JobRad climate calculator to calculate their personal CO₂ savings. Charging stations for e‑bikes are available at many of our locations.

Company Cars & E‑Mobility

At Hörmann, we are also consistently driving forward sustainable mobility in the area of company cars. We are increasingly focusing on electromobility and are gradually making our vehicle fleet more future‑proof and sustainable.

Our goal is to increase the share of electrically powered vehicles (BEV and PHEV) in the total fleet to up to 70 %.

The transition is taking place step by step: pool and functional vehicles were electrified first, and pilot vehicles were tested. At the same time, suitable charging infrastructure was established at many Hörmann locations. In addition, company cars used in sales – which make up the largest share of the passenger car fleet – are being successively replaced by electrified models. We are also examining to what extent service vehicles and trucks in branch logistics can be electrified.

This development is supported by a charging infrastructure that is being expanded in line with demand. In Germany, for example, Hörmann operates almost 70 charging points, which are available to both company vehicles and employees’ private cars. The expansion is location‑based and oriented toward actual demand.

• On the road to e‑mobility: Up to 70 % of the Hörmann vehicle fleet is to consist of electric vehicles by 2031.
• More than 114,000 kWh of charging volume per year were recently consumed at Hörmann locations.
• Around 50 % of new passenger car orders already consist of electric or hybrid vehicles today. 

E-bike charging stations and e-charging points for cars

Electromobility is an important part of the transportation transition. We at Hörmann are also promoting this change. Charging stations for e-vehicles are available both in the employee parking lot at Hörmann headquarters and at many of our other locations - including for e-bikes, of course!

• There are 20 charging points for e-cars at the Hörmann headquarters in Steinhagen alone

City cycling

As part of the annual city cycling - a nationwide initiative for climate-friendly mobility - we at Hörmann pedal together for more climate protection, exercise and team spirit. Within 21 days, our employees collect bicycle kilometers, whether on the way to work, in their free time or on vacation. Every kilometer counts.
