On Feb. 22, General American Door Company (Gadco) became part of the Hörmann organization.

"This new partnership means that Gadco customers will have access to the best technology available in the world," says Christoph Hörmann, one of the principals of Hörmann.

Hörmann is the largest manufacturer of garage doors outside the United States and is known as a worldwide leader in garage door safety and technology. With more than 5,000 employees worldwide, Hörmann has operations in more than 30 countries.

Gadco, based in Montgomery, Ill., is a regional garage door manufacturer with 11 distribution centers serving the eastern half of the United States. The company has been making garage doors since 1965.
Christoph Hörmann has appointed Frank Weber as the new president of Gadco, Joe Kee will continue with Gadco as vice president of sales and marketing. Weber has been with Hörmann in Germany since 1988, with expertise in management, engineering, manufacturing, and sales.
