The village Fushe-Arrez with approximately 4,600 inhabitants is located in the district of Puka in Northern Albania, around 200 km to the North of Tirana.
The Franciscan nuns – Sister Benedetta Ebenhoch and Sister Maria Gratias Ruf – have been working in Albania for 15 years. Together with the »ora international« organisation, they run a mission in Fushe-Arrez with an aid organisation specialising in the needs of the local population. In this particular region people are lacking in the basics even in terms of the generally poor living standards in Albania.
Support the wide variety of work activities involved in running the mission. Provide assistance in the nursery with approx. 60 children, in the sewing school and the hospital ward. Help sorting the aid packages sent from different countries. Support village inhabitants in renovating houses, with agricultural work and in the garden. You can also help to organise courses e.g. in German or music lessons, if required.
The scholarship programme begins in September 2013.
